Digital Republic Sets New Standards With Its eSIM Offering
Press Release
Zurich, September 14, 2023 – The eSIM is here. Many smartphones have already had an eSIM integrated for many years. Many smartwatches can now be connected to the Internet independently of the smartphone. The eSIM makes this possible. Easier travel without high roaming costs and at the same time remain reachable with the existing Swiss number: That, too, is thanks to the eSIM and the dual-SIM use it makes possible.
Digital Republic was one of the first Swiss mobile operators to include the eSIM in its offering three years ago. Ali Soy, Co-Founder of Digital Republic, on the eSIM at Digital Republic: “We have been continuously optimizing our eSIM offering for three years and, as a fully digital mobile operator, we are predestined to offer our customers the best eSIM experience.” In recent months, Digital Republic has intensified the further development of its offering and is thus once again raising the bar in the Swiss mobile market.
Watch SIM for Apple and Galaxy Watch for 4 Francs per Month
Digital Republic customers can now activate a Watch SIM for the Apple or Galaxy Watch and use it to make calls, send messages and go online independently of their smartphone. The Watch SIM option on an existing Digital Republic smartphone tariff costs four francs a month, making it the cheapest offer in Switzerland. From now on, Digital Republic’s flexible flat rates can also be tested free of charge for 30 days using eSIM. All those who are not yet familiar with Digital Republic can activate an eSIM online and thus test the Bilanz Telekom-Rating winner 2023 without obligation. The best thing about it: With the eSIM, it is quite easy to continue using the SIM card with the current mobile provider and test another provider at the same time.
Activate eSIM in Less Than 5 Minutes
At the same time, Digital Republic has once again greatly optimized the digital activation process of the eSIM. In less than five minutes, the Digital Republic eSIM is activated and the smartphone or smartwatch is online.
The independent and free activation, the simple administration and the completely digital handling of Digital Republic’s eSIM leads to the fact that already a large part of Digital Republic’s new customers prefers the eSIM to the SIM card. Marco Arnold, Co-Founder of Digital Republic: “Sooner or later, we will all have only the eSIM. Our goal is to make this switch as easy as possible for our customers.”
