The respective maximum speed is indicated for all Digital Republic plans. Due to the technical nature of mobile communications, the effective speed can be influenced by numerous factors, in particular the load on the local antenna cell and the reception inside the building. If you are not sure what speed you can achieve, we recommend that you order a free SIM card and test the speed with a smartphone before you decide on an annual plan or a router bundle.
Digital Republic’s router bundles always include a router and a SIM card with one year of unlimited internet in Switzerland. The router is yours after purchase. So you don’t have to send it back if you cancel your Digital Republic subscription. The SIM card is active for one year and can then either be automatically renewed or converted into a monthly plan of your choice.
You can easily pay for your subscription with TWINT, your credit card (Maqqstercard, Visa) or PostFinance by entering your preferred payment method in the customer portal.
Yes. You can book roaming packages for different zones at any time as needed in the customer portal. You can find the current rates here: Rates. If you want to use the hotspot for a longer period of time abroad, we recommend that you use a local SIM card that is approved for use in mobile hotspots.
As soon as you have received your SIM card, you can create a customer account on connect.digitalrepublic.ch and activate the SIM card. From the day of activation, you can use and test our offer for 30 days free of charge. After that, you can decide for yourself whether you want to continue using the subscription. There are no additional costs for you.
We don’t have a minimum contract term or notice period. You can easily disable the automatic renewal for each SIM card individually at any time in the customer portal. The subscription will then expire at the end of the paid period. There will be no costs.

With 4G Home Start, we have put together the perfect starter pack for mobile-based home internet. For a one-time fee of CHF 50, you get everything you need: an LTE router and a Flat 50 SIM card. This way, you can set up a home internet connection without an activation fee, a minimum contract term or a notice period. You can then surf the net at 50 Mbit/s for just CHF 20 per month.
