Mobile internet for everyone and everything
Remotus from FlatMan
FlatMan supports real estate agencies in their digital transformation. For connecting their new product to the internet, FlatMan has found the perfect partner in Digital Republic.
The web platform and App FlatMan allows real estate agencies to communicate easily with renters and craftsmen. Important information about the building, current news, resolving defects or even sending urgent messages: The app allows customers to digitize their information flows – and thus optimized, efficient processes. FlatMan now complements the offering with Remotus: A 32-inch LCD touch screen connected to the Internet serves as a digital bulletin board in buildings. Equipped with its own software, Remotus ensures that current information or announcements can be presented easily and promptly. From the energy balance of a building to contact persons to traffic reports or even news – Remotus makes sure that both renters and visitors are informed.

To connect Remotus to the Internet, the FlatMan team needed a suitable, easy-to-use and above all flexible solution. The Remotus screens should be equipped with a SIM card that guarantees data exchange, offers different transfer speeds, can be changed quickly if necessary and can be managed easily. It quickly became clear that Digital Republic was able to meet these requirements, since the period of SIM activation and the speed of data transfer can be defined and changed at any time by the user via their own platform.
Rocco Vicenzi, Co-Founder of FlatMan“…the price and the SIM management platform are solutions that helped FlatMan greatly in the development of the Remotus product.”
Remotus has recently been deployed in several buildings in two cantons with Digital Republic as a connectivity solution. However, interest in the product is far beyond the real estate industry. According to FlatMan’s managers, a consulting firm for craftsmen, a hairdressing salon, construction sites, company canteens and hotels expand the customer base.
The FlatMan team is enthusiastic about Digital Republic thanks to the positive experiences they had while working at Remotus – and last but not least they appreciated the personal contact and support. FlatMan is currently planning to develop probes for monitoring the heating oil level in buildings together with a partner company. One thing is clear: If the project is implemented, Digital Republic’s SIM cards will be used here as well.
