Internet in the Car

Our mobility is constantly evolving. Newly developed cars are equipped with smart functions right from the start. To enable these smart cars to communicate with the Internet, many have a SIM card slot available. Connecting a car to the Internet brings many advantages. For example, the navigation device can provide data on the traffic flow directly on the onboard display. Spotify or Internet radios such as tunnels can also provide a WLAN hotspot for the occupants in modern vehicles. This allows you to provide your passengers with Internet access for their mobile devices. The kids’ tablet now also works in the car and can be a great help to your nerves on long journeys.

Depending on the application of mobile data in a vehicle, there are different offers that can be used. If a vehicle only needs to obtain traffic data from the Internet for the navigation device, the Flat 4 with 0.4 Mbits download and 0.2 Mbits upload is suitable. If you would like to convert your vehicle into a mobile WLAN hotspot for mobile devices, you can use a Flat 50 SIM card with 50 Mbits download and 25 Mbits upload without hesitation. If you are also travelling outside Switzerland with your vehicle, you can book a roaming data package via our customer portal while still at home. We will then activate this for you as soon as you have crossed the border.
