QUMEA's David Meier on working with Digital Republic

Please tell me at the beginning what are you responsible for at QUMEA. 
I am COO and in this role I am responsible, among other things, for ensuring that our solution is easy to install and works seamlessly for all of our customers: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Tell us about QUMEA. What are you doing exactly? 
QUMEA is a specialist and market leader for intelligent and seamless mobility monitoring in hospital rooms. Our digital assistance systems tell caregivers how their patients are doing and when they need help. Automatically and even when the nurses are not with the patients. 

This increases nursing safety, relieves the burden on the nursing staff and enables effective prevention, e.g. of falls. And by relieving human resources, hospitals and care facilities can effectively save costs. 

What problem(s) existed at QUMEA before you started working with Digital Republic? 
For test installations at our customers, the WLAN was either not available in many cases, difficult to access or too unstable. This delayed the installations and made them time-consuming. 

How does Digital Republic's offering help you solve these problems? What convinced you? 
With Digital Republic's SIM card solution, we can offer our customers a working solution immediately. The fact that we can keep the Digital Republic SIM cards in stock makes us even faster. 

Why did you choose Digital Republic over another provider's solution? 
There is no fixed contract period with Digital Republic and we can activate and deactivate the SIM cards very easily and quickly on the cockpit. This fits perfectly with our use case. 

Would you recommend Digital Republic to other companies and if so, why? 
Absolutely. Anyone who, like us at QUMEA, wants to use SIM cards à la carte and very flexibly, is in the right place at Digital Republic. 

What's next for QUMEA?  
A few things come to mind. For me as COO, the roll-out of QUMEA in Sweden is particularly exciting. The Swedish healthcare system has a strong focus on the quality of treatment. I look forward to the challenge of setting the new standard in this market with our mobility monitoring to support care.
