This is what Sacha Bürgi from bürgi.com says

For starters, please tell me what your role is at bürgi.com

I founded the company bürgi.com and have been its CEO ever since.

Tell us something about bürgi.com. What do you do exactly?

We are a renowned security company based in Birsfelden near Basel, which has been around for 26 years. We plan, install and maintain access controls and locking technology, alarm, fire and burglar alarm systems as well as video surveillance systems for a wide range of customers. Our customers include banks, hospitals, logistics and recycling companies, public administration, but also companies such as IKEA, Migros Basel, DHL, Nestlé and the Basel Theatre.

What problem(s) existed before you started working with Digital Republic?

We have installed mobile video surveillance systems that are connected to the Internet via a SIM card. With the previous provider, however, the subscription prices were so high that it was not attractive for us and our customers. The previous provider did not seem interested in large data volumes. With Digital Republic, the opposite is the case, they have specialised in large data volumes.

How does Digital Republic’s offering help you solve these problems? What convinced you?

At Digital Republic, the price-performance ratio is right. We can therefore put together an attractive and affordable package for our customers.

Why did you choose Digital Republic over another provider’s solution?

Apart from the price, we can manage the SIM cards online. This means that we can activate the cards online and set up the subscription correctly for the customer right away – that’s a big advantage.

Would you recommend Digital Republic to other companies and if so, why?

Yes I would. The reason is that the handling is easy and the prices are very attractive.

What’s next for bürgi.com?

One project is that we will further expand mobile video surveillance in the near future. Specifically, these are mobile video towers, up to six metres high, which can be used to monitor an area with a radius of up to 150 metres, for example at construction sites or events. These mobile systems can be operated via the power grid and, with battery packs, also without a connection to the power grid, for example via solar panels or with fuel cells.

Thank you very much for the short interview.
