Holiday flats and smart homes with mobile Internet

The smart home has long since found its way into our lives. Heaters are turned up or down while on the move, lights are controlled by the smartphone when you are away, and you can even check the fill level of your fridge by remote control. Smart home devices are connected via the Internet. You can either do this with the local WLAN or you can equip the devices with a SIM card. Especially in holiday apartments, the simple solution via mobile phone is the best choice, as an expensive dedicated line for irregular use would cause too high costs.

Smart homes do not need a fast Internet connection

To control smart devices in smart homes, only control commands are transmitted, which do not involve large amounts of data. Therefore the smallest data subscription of the Flat 4 with 0.4 Mbits download and 0.2 Mbits upload is the best choice. However, you can also equip your holiday home with WLAN and connect the devices with it. For this you can use the Flat 300 offer with 300 Mbits download and 150 Mbits upload. Via our customer portal, you can decide for yourself when you need Internet. Simply switch off the automatic renewal function and book individual months when you go to your holiday home.
