Monitoring of vehicle fleets
Mobile Internet is an excellent choice for monitoring fleets and vehicle fleets. Thanks to real-time monitoring, supply chains and routes can be optimized. For this purpose, you equip the corresponding vehicles with a SIM card to ensure access to the data at any time, which can be used for evaluation and optimization. Newer fleet vehicles usually have a SIM card slot available for such applications. Older vehicles can also be retrofitted with a GPS tracker or other telematics units.
Which SIM cards are required for fleet management?
If only the locations or measured values of the vehicles have to be called up, the smallest possible data speed of the Flat 4 with 0.4 Mbits download and 0.2 Mbits upload is suitable. If you also want to use the SIM card as a hotspot, you can use a Flat 10 with 10 Mbits download and 5 Mbits upload. This way you profit twice over, since you can provide your employees with Internet access on the one hand and fleet monitoring on the other.
