Answers About Mobile Internet in Your Company

Questions About the Digital Republic Subscription

We offer subscriptions with different speeds. Depending on the speed you need, the price varies. You can find the prices of all our offers here.

Yes, with the voice option activated, you can use unlimited calls and text messages in Switzerland. Incoming calls and text messages are already possible with a data subscription.

You can easily pay for your subscription with TWINT, your credit card (Mastercard, Visa) or PostFinance by entering your preferred payment method in the customer portal.

The subscription runs for 30 days at a time. Whether you want to renew it after that or not, you can decide for yourself. You can also set up an automatic renewal. The subscription is then renewed automatically after the 30 days, provided you have a valid payment method.

Via the customer portal you can deactivate the automatic renewal for each SIM card individually. The subscription will then expire at the end of the paid period. There are no costs involved; the action can be carried out at any time.

Yes, the data volume is unlimited.

In general no, however we reserve the right to temporarily lower network speeds if malicious usage is suspected.

However, excessive use can lead to capacity problems, which has a direct impact on other mobile subscribers. We therefore ask you to use the mobile internet within a reasonable range.

In extreme cases (more than 97% and 99.89% of all customers) we reserve the right to temporarily lower the priority of data traffic. This means that speed will be reduced in places and at times of day when the mobile network is congested. This is generally only noticeable during data-intensive activities. In antenna cells that are not overloaded, the deprioritization does not affect the speed.

All our subscriptions run on the Sunrise network.

Yes, in your customer portal you can book roaming packages for e.g. Europe or the USA at any time. You can find the current rates here: Rates

Questions about eSIM

An eSIM is a chip that, unlike a conventional SIM card, is permanently integrated in the end device (e=embedded). This does not only eliminate the physical SIM card, but also enables more flexible and simpler mobile communications use.

If you have an eSIM-enabled device, you can create an account in the customer portal and select the option “Activate eSIM”. Select your rate plan and enter your personal data. Then scan the QR code that appears and your eSIM profile will be active.

Yes, as a new customer with a Swiss residence, you can test the eSIM free of charge. Activate your first eSIM in the customer portal and you don’t have to pay anything for the first 30 days, provided you meet the conditions.

No. An eSIM is the digital alternative to the conventional physical SIM card, while dual SIM describes the availability of two SIM slots in a smartphone. However, thanks to the eSIM, your smartphone automatically becomes a dual-SIM device because the SIM slot remains free for a physical SIM due to the chip already installed.

Since eSIM-capable smartphones usually also have a slot for SIM cards, they automatically become dual-SIM devices. For example, an active eSIM profile and an active physical SIM card in the slot can be used to make calls with two phone numbers (e.g., private and business) or to run the subscriptions for telephony and data via one of the SIMs each.

The same functions can be used with an eSIM as with a regular SIM card. The eSIM can be used with any eSIM-enabled device. Whether smartphone, tracker, smartwatch or tablet: more and more devices in Switzerland are eSIM-enabled. You can find a list of eSIM-compatible devices here.

If you have accidentally deleted your eSIM profile, you can load a new profile at any time via the customer portal. To do so, simply follow our guidance in the support portal.

You can activate an eSIM directly on your wearable, which will have its own phone number. If you want to connect an Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch, you can use our Watch SIM option as a supplement to your main subscription. The smartphone and the Watch will then share the same phone number.
